The client: The National Insurance Institute via the Blanco ad agency
The National Insurance Institute (NII) is a governmental organization in Israel. The NII supplies varying levels of support in situations that qualify for Social Security payouts such as unemployment benefits, disability benefits, maternity allowance, other benefit payments, and more.
The goal: To make new information regarding the social rights of employees and grants related to the Corona period more accessible using comics, and publish them to be shared and viewed on social networks. The comic medium creates a sense of lightness and humor and is surprising for readers who expect information from the NII to be delivered as ‘dry’

Behind the scenes: After a brainstorming session with the client and the ad agency, we came up with a limited number of concepts based on pop culture references such as legends, fairy tales and superheroes, that we could post as comics. The references also needed to be familiar to the general public so we chose subjects that are universally recognizable.
The work on the project included editing the text I received so that it would be easier and more convenient to read, creating conceptual sketches to illustrate the message, defining a visual style and executing it all in comics form.
